Ivan Dodig

Short Bio

Born in 1989 in Mostar. He completed his studies in Tourism Business and Management in Novi Sad, with an elective module in Cultural Management. He obtained his Master’s degree in Mostar in the field of religious tourism, earning the title of MA in Cultural Tourism Management. He is occasionally engaged in teaching at higher education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is the founder of the interdisciplinary scientific and professional journal “Sustainability”.

Areas of core professional interest and scientific research include sociology, tourism studies, and human geography. Within the field of sociology, the primary focus is on the sociology of tourism, rural and urban sociology, and the sociology of pilgrimage. The research in tourism extends to the impacts of tourism on local communities, special interest tourism, and international tourism. Additionally, the academic scope encompasses human geography, with specific emphasis on demography, tourism geography, and the geography of religions.
